My father-in-law was a lifelong commercial truck driver, finishing his career hauling heavy equipment for Case Tractor with strong Union benefits. Case eventually closed their in-house hauling and farmed it out to private contractors. He made a good living at it, which would be near impossible today. AI is going to take a lot of jobs, through all working classes. What corporations haven’t planned on yet, is the loss of consumer dollars to buy their products and services in their wet dream of a oneway economy.
