I don't make ai art because I'm not much of a fan of it, but when I try to draw, which I mainly do digitally, I just don't feel confident in my own creations. I think they look horrible and no matter how hard I try I feel like I'll never get better. The only way I can make something considerably decent, is when I'm using a base, which I only do for Pokémon related stuff, otherwise I just don't really like to do anything else because I feel like it would turn out horrendous.
