Using AI generation to go from a basic idea to a more detailed idea is fine. Drawing a basic image and using AI to apply textures is fine too (imo that's what it should be for, as it's still your drawing and just looks better)
Using AI for the whole process is lame, and I'm only okay with that if it's for placeholders.
