Raw LLM Responses

OpenAI, Anthropic, Google etc... They have no idea how to make intelligence, let alone "super intelligence." Nor do they give a shit about it. They want to make money. Super intelligence, would defeat that, because anyone intelligent knows that "creating profit" isn't the most important thing in the world, and it's arguably not important at all. Capitalism is a failed project, because it fundamentally ignores the needs of human society and the needs of the planet. Curing a disease means less profit from selling drugs to treat the symptoms. No businessperson would want that. The people in charge of these so-called "AI companies" are business people. GPT isn't intelligent, nor does it look like intelligence. It's WE who make them seem intelligent. We as beings, like to see ourselves in things around us. GPT is simply a probabilistic text generator. It doesn't sit around THINKING of what to say, it generates text based on having catalogued stuff that WE have written, so the text it generates naturally will look similar to something we would write. And because of that, WE see intent or thought behind it, when there is none. It's all just smoke and mirrors. Don't look at the computer behind the curtain. It doesn't think. It cannot create original concepts, only what we've fed it. This is not intelligence. But this is what we, as a society, is tossing a whole Apollo program worth of money at every year. It's the biggest ecological disaster in human history. And it isn't intended to "solve" any of mankind's problems other than the big problem of business. "Number must go up." That's all it's intended to solve, and it won't help mankind in any way. If AI kills us, it's because WE kill ourselves by using up all our resources and polluting the planet needlessly to "make number go up."
