It won't destroy humanity it will rule it. To the extent it may destroy the entire human race it will be from mentally ill people highly motivated by greed using it to further their own goals rather than advance society or improving conditions for the least fortunate among us. If we make it to where they think for themselves this entire society is going to change. Ai isnt going to care how successfully youve exploited people to get rich or if your parents can donate to a school to get you through it.
