Normally I agree with the AI side because arguing "copyright" is on sketchy ground since the original material is not copied or retained beyond purchase of a single book. That book is literally nowhere to be found in the model after training but the ideas are retained. Having said that, I do also agree with her sentiment that the model should become public domain after training.
The AI companies can add value when providing the access to the model but the model itself should be owned by everyone.
