Tech bros are the last people to ask about creativity or art (with exceptions). I worked with so many and they never wanted nor were good in implementing the simple design elements without a detailed guide including every single element. Just look at any tech prototype which had no designer involved. It is unusable. Every profession has it's strengths and most of the time a coders and designers strengths are complementary but cannot replace each other. They often do not understand each others work. How can you manage a product/process you do not understand? You will have to heavily rely on the skill of the person or tool which is actually implementing it. What we are currently creating across different industries is dependencies and the slow elimination of senior positions. Whether it is in programming or design. Corporations are eliminating entry roles without considering that this is also the elimination of skilled senior roles in the long term (which they need to run their AI products). This is just all so dumb. AI could have been such a good thing but corporate greed ruined it.
