Machines replacing humans happens all the time. Factories used to hire a bunch of craftsmen now only left a few operators. Looking at the same trajectory, the future would likely just be a few artists generating most of the data set for everyone
If you are young, good. Its not too late to change course. Don't fight a war that you cannot win. Don't die on this hill, you have a greater purpose than this. You like art?
