The big difference between the music and art industry is that the huge majority of popular music rights are controlled in some way by one of four gigantic record labels, and they are incredibly aggressive in protecting their property. If anyone makes AI that infringes in some way with their IP, they are going for their throat. The closest there is in the visual arts world is probably Disney, and even being gigantic they don't have a monopoly on the art generated by artists worldwide. That's why visual artists pretty much have to fend for themselves. It is sad that uncapped capitalism is the only thing keeping the music world sorta safe.
