In my opinion, the fault is with the driver as they weren't paying attention to the road while driving regardless of autopilot being on or off. I hope all drivers on the road pay attention to the fucking road instead of looking at their fucking iPhone while driving. I see so many people looking down at their phone swerving in lane while driving their 2 ton death machine.
I believe autonomous cars will be on the road before 2030. Looking at the current progress and the rate of improvement, it is more likely for the tech to improve and become better than human drivers (its already better than some idiots on the road).
Lastly, so call experts in the fields are morons.
