I think it would be different if the AI had an identity and the ability speak for itself but... It can't or doesn't. It has nothing to say with its "art." It's simply just a product that creates empty copies of real people's work. I don't think it's bad to use in certain cases, but in terms of art culture and anything professional, it comes off as lazy and disingenuous. I can only see it as being okay when used for references or for fun. Even then that would be pushing it in my opinion.
