I won't say AI Artists are artists, but I understand the appeal and usefulness of AI Art. It can be used for reference. It's not great, but it can be used for reference if the thing you're looking for isn't very common, or is mistaken with something else. But, yeah, AI "Artists" aren't artists, and should never be considered as such.
