As always amazing video.
I often wonder is this whole debate about consciousness really relevant, isn't that maybe just our human way of thinking? What even are subjective experiences? Who says that internal states of LLMs are not already primitive forms of subjective experiences? But that's not where I am going. If the AGI is capable, does it really matter if it is conscious? If it is not aligned it will probably dangerous regardless. And if it is aligned, again so what if it conscious or not, why would it matter?
