In my opinion the problem isn’t the use of ai. It’s the abuse of ai. It’s a useful tool. It lets non artists get a glimpse of what their ideas could be if they had the talent to make them or the funds to commission them. It lets ttrpg players have an image of their character to show their group so they know what to imagine. It can give you some weird ideas that a human would never come up with. The problem arises from the fact that humans are going to abuse any and all tools they’re given. They’re going to make art to claim as their own. They’re going to make stuff with no effort. They’re going to spread fake images and claim they’re real. In a perfect world ai would and should exist. But this isn’t a perfect world. And humans should not be trusted with something so easily used for evil. Also what happened if you poison an image made from a poisoned generator?
