i have rheumatoid arthritis that is very heavily in my hands and I STILL draw every single day. I survive on finger splints, lidocaine patches, and fucking spite. AI is the worst thing to come to the art community. People without hands paint with their mouths or feet. People with disabilities like mine survive on pain meds and STILL create art. Us disabled artists, as a whole, do not support AI art. I grew up on digital art, i started drawing in MS paint, and am a computer science major. I am not anti tech, clearly. I am, however anti AI. Disabled people make art without using generative AI as a crutch. And I don't even think AI is all bad actually. If it was more environmentally friendly, it can be helpful in so so many ways. But until it is environmentally friendly it should not be available to the public.
