As someone who started off vibe coding, I indeed found it helpful to give me boilerplate to work with. I also have a genuine interest in knowing what I'm doing and getting better at programming. So after getting working code, I then deconstructed it, and rewrote it from the ground up how I best understood it. I was left with fully functioning code written by me, an understanding of how and why it connects together, and an understanding on how to scale and maintain it, and more room to learn the ins and outs of the C++ and Python language itself. You're only screwing yourself over if you're letting AI do all of the work while having no understanding of how and why the code may or may not work.
