There will be some jobs that can’t be replaced. Example: emptying septic tanks, roofing, plumbing, electrician, custom welding, carpentry, etc. I don’t think plumbers, carpenters, and some other blue collar jobs, will be easily replaced. Eventually they could, but I think society is going to fall apart well before these actual jobs get replaced by a robot. Most “office” jobs will disappear. I would also say most financial jobs would disappear. Why would you need a human investment banker when AI can figure out investment strategies in an instant? Why would you need a legal system? In most ways, I agree with this fella, but I don’t care if you have hundreds of people screaming about AI safety. Wealth will overcome all of that. My belief is that there will be a nuclear holocaust that will end all of this. That will come before AI takes over. There’s no way to stop this.
