In anyone out there is reading this, here's my story: Left my job over 6 years to re-train in modern computer languages, and also dive into the 3D field which I had not previously been in. I was learning all of it to be able to make complete multiplayer games myself. I learned additional languages like Rust. I learned Blender. I learned several game engines. I learned the XR/AR/VR. I learned music theory and digital audio tooling as well as using synthesizers. I learned Kubernetes, Kafka, and a whole lot more. It was a big train and things were looking great. Then, in 2023, AI hit hard. It couldn't be ignored. I transferred all my learning to the AI side all to eventually watch it wipe us all out. Now, I'm left without money and without a career !
