We now see the extreme version of this in AI companies, but this can be said about all big companies and even more so about the top investment banks because the 'unsound structure' is embedded in the DNA of capitalism and the financial systems. We don't actually have free choice in the economy. We get a procured set of options because companies choose to sell those options. And they will sell their products in such a way, that it benefits them more than if they did right by society. You see a cheap burger. McDonalds sees an adictive burger and high-margin drinks and fries. You see a $1 razor. Gillette sees years of refils, and we see the environment filled with garbage. The whole rat-race we see right now in AI is merely showing what was always there, which is the structurally unsound systems we have. And it's all about one thing: Power. Investment banks poored money into companies like Amazon because they want control over entire markets. Money is part of the power-system, but it is a means. Power and control are the real goal, and they are doing it again with AI-companies in a careless and dangerous way because they believe it will offer them the power to rule over everyone and everything.
