It's a bit like saying that machines wont replace welders, and then the company makes a robot that replaces the welders... Harley Davidson is a prime example, and the other car makers.
That in supermarkets they now have machines where the customer scans their own purchases, where that was done by a teller, and that now the supermarkets can employ less tellers.
No one believes that AI won't take jobs, when that companies will do what they want to, to take away their expense of paying out on taxes and insurance and holiday pays and sick leave.. where if an AI or a robot breaks down they just get 1 person from I.T, or they get A.I to work out the problem and if it's worth getting I.T to fix a problem that then can claim on their insurance on a machine or A.I fault or of the replacement of the robot.. to the latest's version.. to robot bastard v2.0.
