AI is supposed to be a tool to help people automate the tedious, time consuming tasks that have no real bearing on the final piece. Like scaffolding of a project. Its not meant to replace the whole human part of the job. AI could be an amazing tool to use for artists (real artists). It could help set up a basic structure of a piece or automatically clean up sketch lines. You could probably program AI to recognize foreshortening or depth of field and give an accurate measurement of the object you are drawing so you know if something is drawn to the right scale. You can use AI to help pick a color pallet. There are lots of possibilities. But tech bros are obsessed with replacing whole artists with programs and they want the credit for getting AI to draw someone with the correct number of fingers for once.
