here is the thing. automation / technology is a double edged-sword because the luxury and ease that we enjoy *today* was a result of ... the rapid pace of technology. for example, the trucks of 40 years ago pale in comparison to the ability of today's trucks; we all (truckers and customers and society as a whole) enjoy and reap the benefits of technology. (gps systems, mobile phones, trucks, etc. all of the above)
trying to stop or slow technology is like going down to the beach and trying to stop the waves from crashing unto shore with your bare hands.
