Ok wanna know my real issue with anti AI art talk.
It's that it eerily reminds me of SOPA.
That's it.
I don't care about all this other shit, if you like it go ahead, if you don't like it that's your opinion and you're allowed.
But the idea that artists can just shut down unauthorized use of their work on a whim bothers the hell out of me, because if taken too far shows a disastrous precedent for anything transformative.
I grew up with YTPs, and other forms of edits like it, while it is true that one requires more effort than the others, they're both using pre-existing art in a way that alters and transforms. And taking it away from one can easily effect all others. I don't believe anyone has the right to restrict the creativity of others, even machines.
