i used AI art, to get ideas for future commissions i wanted, it however was remixing already done art. Did not know about the reference thing, that's useful info to store. Honestly, there are ways to do training data without stealing, but that cost ether money, or cut into profits, so they wont. Like simply having an image bank people can opt into, and if at any time an image used to make money, it automatically putting money into a pool to give to the source images creators, who choose this when it reach's certain sizes. the choosing part kinda the important thing? Could also just use the tech, in a more "productive" way, for reverse imaging your own art, and pointing at people who done similar styles you might be interested. Cause AI good with doing sorting of massive data sets, compare to what half the stuff i see people trying use it for. It be better at doing tax's and finding loop holes then with the current technology doing art.
