Bernie and everyone else. Working class presupposes a stratified class society. is a nurse working class, a nurse today normally has a Bachelor's degree, may even have a Master's degree. Around the 17th-19th centuries one barely had an education and one was under the boot, even serfs, for the benefit of their master. I am Norwegian and we do not have a class society in that sense and the boss cannot say jump and I cannot say how high I should jump, because the question is not asked. AI is both an opportunity and a threat because the software will always have limitations. Automation and AI can solve many tasks, but do not remove the workers, they only get new tasks and if those who are politicians want it, everyone will probably also have a better life, but there are many mountains to overcome before we get there.
