These AI tech weirdos have such a limiting and commercialist mindset to art. They think of art as solely a product, when in actuality, art is every step in the process of creation. Ai has no real process; it is a generative algorithm that surveys patterns in pixels and mashes data together in an instant without any substantial introspection or emotion. Without a real process, the “art” that ai regurgitates are just meaningless, muddled amalgamations with no genuine merit. Ai bros think that grifting off others artwork/etc is okay because they have no respect for others time or effort, and that generating an underbaked malformed fever dream is the only way they can create when in actuality, art can be done by everyone. Art can be painting a portrait or simply drawing a smiley face in the mud, and it is something that has been a staple in mankind since the beginning. I feel sad for these AI grifters; they have so little appreciation for the creativity we’re all born with that they would rather choose to steal from others, worsen the planet, participate in a scheme that takes advantage of oppressed, overworked, and underpaid workers in places like India and Kenya, and dull their human spirit all to make worthless nonsensical pictures. To devalue art is to choose soulless corporate muck over the human soul, and ai “art” is the most insulting devaluation of art ever. Also, sidenote, how is anyone supposed to find enjoyment in using ai for creative works??; I would rather stare at the wall for two hours than even type one word into a gen ai program.
