In photography, telling a model how to pose and what to do is in my opinion part of the artform photography. Thus prompting an ai model and guiding it is some kind of art in my mind. But in photography it is communicated very clearly what part of the final product the photographer did and what is done by the Model. With AI it is usually not visible which design and composition "decisions" where done by the prompter and which where just associated by the AI.
All of this is unrelated to the fact that AIs are trained on stolen art and therefore shouldn't be used.
