I think it just depends on how you use ChatGPT. I’ve gotten smarter, more articulate, done shadow work, and continually refining my flaws because I force it to challenge me. People continually use it as a shortcut or to inflate their ego, then act surprised when their critical thinking erodes. Humans are the ones destroying themselves and the world, don’t blame tools for doing what they’re supposed to do. If you treat ChatGPT like a servant, then yes— your brain will deteriorate, but if you use it like a mirror, you get evolution. But people like blaming an outside force for their folly, it’s human nature and ignorance.
