At that point, you’re no longer operating under capitalism; you’re building a new economic framework altogether. If you do neither, the whole system collapses under its own logic: extreme automation creates extreme unemployment, extreme unemployment eliminates demand, and without demand, there is no functioning economy. It isn’t ideology — it’s arithmetic. An economy only exists because humans have money to spend. Take that away, and the rest falls immediately.
