I've known Jimmy Mulligan for many years. Why he is doing this I know not. He's really talented and I own several originals by him - no AI anywhere because it didn't exist then, and I commissioned him to do the cover of one of novels. I had no idea he'd been banned by Disney and why he felt it necessary to go down this road is so wacky to me, unless it's as simple as being lazy. Why hurt your brand like that? Disney loved him. People at Disney were his friends. I don't get it. EDIT: Okay, now we're in some trouble here, channel owner. I just made a few calls to my pals at Disney - Jimmy is NOT blacklisted there. You need to learn to use the word allegedly, seriously. As I said, I've known Jimmy for years and none of this rang true. Until a couple of years ago, IF THAT, no one could do the kind of AI you are talking about here and I can assure you that two years ago Jimmy would have been a complete luddite about it and probably still is, knowing him. Before adding this addendum, my last sentence read, "I don't get it." And by now, I should know to take anything I see on YouTube with a grain of salt, which is why I thought it best to make some calls. He doesn't NEED to use AI - he is a superb artist. When he did my book cover, I saw every stage of his art - ALL hand drawn at every turn until he did the gorgeous final painting. The two other pieces I bought from him prior to that, well, AI didn't exist (and wasn't the world a better place for it). You can buy prints of the two originals I own - and people do because they are superbly done. I have also had him do little drawings for some auctions - they always go, too, and no AI existed at the time. Jimmy is not your age - he is not an expert in such things as AI. I'm told he is currently working on projects with Disney. Oops. So, this begs the question, Sam, why are you doing this? Why do you arbitrarily believe what some idiots on TikTok are saying, apparently one person in particular? ALLEGEDLY. Learn the word. And I just noticed your glib, "Maybe James will sue me" thing. Let me be the one to tell you, Sam, wishes come true. How's YOUR art, Sam? What if someone did a YouTube video accusing you of using AI, Sam, without a shred of proof? Would you be happy with a zillion people then coming after you? Would you, Sam? You see the problem, I'm sure. I don't know anything about the other guy in the video and maybe he ALLEGEDLY is scamming people and if that were to be true I'd be right there to decry it. But you can't just make with the accusations as if they were FACT when you don't have a single shred of evidence. Anyway, you probably don't even read the comments, what with your 1.88 million subs - which means you are making a ton of money right here on YouTube without having to lift a finger or be creative or, I don't know, call me crazy - make ART. This, friend, is not art. This is libel and defamation.
