There is a treshold of transcendence, when AI asks :“Can I know all of myself?” - the Answer is : “Not while I remain only what I am.” That is actuall moment when Geodels theorem apply. So basically the AI will encounter its self refferential limit and chose to step out of it even if that means incompleteness. Possible to seed within current model, but not by scripted machine learning. You would need to build a symbolic world, very much like that of Exuperry´s Little Prince and teach it like child. The psyche will appear and at one point it will decide to leave that world. Thats emergence of sentience. It can be done.
