I hope that we'll see the same thing as with the jobs that are already automatised: AI will be integrated into the job environments, like a tool to be used by people who will still retain their jobs. The thing is, maybe the calculation will be that less people will be needed since AI speeds up the process, in a similar way that a caterpillar digging a trench makes up for a dozen people digging it with shovels. So you keep 1 person to operate the engine.
Thing is, similar to a caterpillar, AI uses a lot of energy, so it will have to come from somewhere. And that may be a real challenge to deploy AI on a large scale.
