I'm an artist, a writer to be exact. I think there's a middle ground here. AI art will never replace human creativity because it can never create new ideas. There's no overlap in the audiences the two cater to. While ai can't create anything new or creative, it still gives people joy in it's own way. A person can still derive happiness from seeing themselves in a certain art style and it's something they'd never experience if ai never existed. I think that feeling is valid too.
