Many years ago a skinny blond woman with long wavy hair went missing. Posters of her went up everywhere, at the time it was implied that she had been killed. I was busy working 12 hour days and was not aware of her story, so when people started staring at me, or coming up to me to ask me my name, I was wondering what was going on. When I saw this woman's picture on the news the only thing we had in common was the hairstyle and the fact that we were both women. I also went through a couple of months when people were mistaking me for a bank teller. Only when they were about five feet away from me would these people realize that they had the wrong woman. To rely on face recognition is not much better than an eyewitness.
