I keep thinking about the people I know personally who bought ipads and procreate and started businesses tracing photos, one girl traced someone else's artwork completely, and started a small business selling prints. I feel like ai art is the same thing, people who have no understanding of the creative process, and also don't understand what every artist in the art community understands, that copying and tracing work is stealing, and it doesn't matter if you used ai or something else to do it, it's art theft. I don't hate ai art, I actually enjoy playing with it and seeing what it can do, and I think it will find its place in the big scheme of things, but it's so new right now, it's like the wild west.
