I think it would be curious to see folks within the AI community come together to demonize the slop. Those folks that less than half of their compositions were related to AI in some fashion taking a stand against those where more than half of the composition were AI. Oh, can totally shift the percentage there; but it felt like a simple starting place.
Someone that asks AI for a writing prompt and then crafts lyrics from that prompt, trains AI on their own voice, uses the AI music as a demo of ideas and and then breaks out their instruments or DAW to get to work on the music, and hey, perhaps uses an AI mastering tool...is not the same as someone that asks Suno to write the song and music while using vocals trained on a popular performer.
