It's important to also note that trying to delay or slow down the process won't work. It will happen. Period. I'm saying that from a European perspective, where we try to regulate AI so much, that we (might) fall behind massively. This will not help us people, because due to economy, we'll be 3rd world countries in no time.
That being said: I agree with Bernie here, even though I highly, highly doubt that his hopes come to pass... I also hope it does, but the way we move to more authoritarianism, world-wide, we might already be too late.
