Is anybody really surprised? Really? Did nobody else expect that, given the opportunity to sit back and let "someone else" do ___________, that humans would abuse the hell out of it?
AI is the single most dangerous threat to our species since the fucking Black Death. (And I don't even mean in a Skynet kinda way. Just in the mundane fact that it makes it far too easy to let some computer program do all of our thinking and all of our creating. My ex bragged to me that he "wrote a song" recently that he was really proud of. Except he didn't write anything; he fed his idea into some AI and *it* wrote a song.)
