Ultimately it is an arms race game that cannot be won through being played.
The lesson is tiringly old and basic: Power trips, fear, dehumanization. And we keep riding down the road.
I am also seeing examples of people becoming completely inept to make or even find illustrative images but let AI produce utter garbage that doesn't even serve the intended purpose. It is mass insanity. Creepy. This stuff is totally messing people's brains up. Feed them AI art and they accept visual nonsense as reality.
People also start thinking that every damn random thought is genius enough to visualize just because an AI can do it for them.
Also, if, cynically, AI ends up failing only because of money, then they're gonna explore using sweat shops for on-demand art generation. (If machines are too expensive, humans tend to be discovered as cheaper. And once the addiction is rolled out into the world, don't count on it just evaporating.)
P.S.: It is not always AI hallucination producing weird outcomes. 21:28 has strands of hair vanish behind the eyelids. 😉
