Anyway here’s some inspirations for my art: Yaelokre. Their style is super complex, to learn to replicate it you have to figure out how to draw blue red and brown using ONLY yellow. They have very complicated lighting in some of the art, especially in the trailer of songs of origin. I also love how realistic their humans look, they all have unique face structures, and I just love when artists do that. Kinda reminds me of arcane style, but if arcane was a whimsical fairytale about 4 kids running around and singing. Aida, specifically in project of toilet boy Hanako kun. They have a very simple looking at first but INSANELYYYY detailed art style, especially in backgrounds. Their lighting is so juicy, and their character designs are just amazing! I also love their anatomy and how they build characters, I love when you can feel the weight of the character, even if they’re skinny. And I love how this weight of a character kinda disappears when for example Nene is feeling dreamy and in her romantic delusions. But you can feel the texture and the temperature and the weight and softness or hardness of a character just by looking at them. You feel like you can touch them. Sometimes I just read the manga and stared at the picture for minutes in awe! That’s why I also love going to galleries, you just come and stare at the pictures figuring out how it was done and the purpose of it (I should go to the galleries more…. Why do non artists go to galleries btw. Like staring at a picture for minutes in silence trying to figure out what technics and theories they used may be entertaining for me but why do yall like to just stare at the paint drying. Literally.) Little forest walk (on instagram) I love their random whimsical and surrealist art, I love how they execute their ideas with Madoka characters, I love their composition skills. But mainly, I love the process of how they draw. Because the process is art in itself. I have a veeeeery similar process of just bursting paint around the canvas here and there and then making sense of it, so it’s helpful to have their speed paints around as a navigation cuz they’re the better artist. That’s why I need to get them to post longer and more speedpaints….. CUZ IM TIRED OF PERFORMING BLACK MAGIC ON ONE OF MADOKA SPEED PAINTS OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!! Anyway, go support them! And lastly…. Kikuo. Which is… yeah… controversial… considering how he actually supports ai art…. Tsk…. (Im sorry if it’s the way you found out about it) but anyway I can still share my fascination with his art! And music too. Cuz I feel like they go hand in hand. Kikuo’s art is mostly just bursting whatever on the canvas and making it Miku shaped and I LOVE it. I love how building throw different silhouettes and shapes you can see other art inside art, I love how he draws figures, I love how he draws these surrealist messes of barely understanding of wtf is going on. I love it. But also the music! I feel like it’s just audio version of the art yk what I mean? It’s as if horror art piece was conveyed into audio, especially wataame track it literally feels as if getting a lobotomy. Very very very unique feeling. I need to get high once and listen to it…. Anyway, Kikuo is a surrealist painter with very surrealist ideas what is slapping random shit on the canvas and turning it into a masterpiece, and this is the level I aspire to be. Guess who wasted time yapping about it instead of drawing…..
