The debt isn't going to get paid and the economy will be in such a state that literally the ability to repossess property will be void. You can go UBI before things automate and it will not only increase immigration to your country, but, it will also pay the debt. Our systems aren't set in stone. Failure to understand this is going to lead to a complete freezing of the economy. Money being distributed in the first place as it is is the problem. Things we pay for might be things we get paid for while things we get paid for might be things we pay for in the future. The physical world is going to remind us of this the hard way. "Oh no. People who already don't pay taxes are threatening to leave the country". Highly unlikely. This is how we got here in the first place.
