It'll be a big test of how democracy holds up in the face of extreme income/wealth inequality. Theoretically, half the people lose their jobs, so they vote for a solution.
Societally speaking, losing your job to AI is great. Where there was once a human life toiling away at a task, there will instead be an automated process.
My theory is that, at the end of the day, you have X amount of people and Y produced goods. Replacing jobs with AI doesn't really change that. Then, legislate to even things out a bit.
