Then again, a person who's not being told they're sacred will not develop to a certain level of culture. Left alone with wolves, they wouldn't even develop basic social skills. I guess the only difference (when it comes to consciousness) between us and AI is that wild self-preservation instinct, that animals posses. Not for much longer, maybe?
