ok listen i get you not liking AI or whatever, i don't like it either, but your criticism at 8:34 of the "AI for reference" is ether dumb or bad faith, because what people mean, when they say that, is not thet they want to see how to draw hands, it's that they brainstorm a pose or colors or clothing or general vibe, you can type "victorian bunny" (or whatever is on the picture) and get inspired by this picture, then, just like you did, pull out specific references for it's clothing, face, plants in the background, hone in the details however you want, change whatever you want, and boom, you used an AI image as a reference!! it's not that hard to understand, i think you are avoiding this intentionally another example, the reverse of the previous one: i needed to draw a picture for uni that i really didn't want to draw + deadline was tight + it's not a subject i need for my future job, so i thought of a good consept, kne what i wanted, got some photographic references, edited them into a picture exactly how i imagined it and then put it through AI to turn it Arcane style, did it a few times, took the best parts from all the variants, drew them with paint, submitted my work. it's a fine line and everyone has it in different places, but i bet you don't think about stupid shi people have to do just because, it doesn't serve any purpose in my case... i don't know how education works in USA, but where i'm from there's a whole lot of useless subjects, one of them is literally focusing on loving our country, i don't... erm... like this subject... so i "write" my essays using AI, i hate our government. and, wouldn't you know it, this stupid f... drawing also was supposed to show our wonderful culture (it is wonderful, but i know why we need to paint this shi, so it's vomit inducing) if i was participating in an art contest, i would be doing everything from scratch, i draw my whole life, but i don't think you can paint all of AI and it's users with a wide brush like that if AI was never created, i would've payed someone to do all of this shi, but here we are, some saved cash, not worth humanity's collapse, but it is what it is russia for anyone wondering
