ai art is a net negative to humanity as a whole. what i hate most about it is that, unlike an automatic jellybean sorter or something, its sole purpose for existing is to rob real people of their purpose for existing. to an ai, anything it does is just a task, it derives no pleasure or meaning by doing them. i'm not so naive as to think ai will be banned, but i have to wonder, at what point do we put our collective foot down? what percentage of the work force has to be displaced and made obsolete before we stop allowing it to happen? because if even art, something that comes from humans expressing themselves, is no longer safe from becoming automated, nothing is. and thats without even touching the plagiarism argument. fuck ai art. how long before ai spouses and families start replacing us too? "of course an ai cant replace a human for something thats so closely tied to the human experience" is exactly the kind of thing i thought about art, but look where we are now. we need to put a stop to this.
