While I am not an Elon Musk fan, Bernie is a bit off base on this topic. Bernie's concerns are the same kind of concerns expressed when the world went through the industrial revolution. The concern being that people would no longer have jobs, when in reality, the world economy expanded, standards of living all over the world improved dramatically, and new jobs that did not previously exist were created. We must not be afraid of technological advancements. Further, all advances in society came from the desire to make money. This is the basis of capitalism. Ford didn't make cars to improve peoples lives, he made cars to make money. Yes, AI will make some jobs obsolete, and new jobs will be created. The world does not stand still. If not America leading the AI revolution, then China will and then we will have major problems in this country.
