I don't know why I'm polite to the algorithm, but I always say please or "Thank you, Chat! That was just what I needed," or so forth. I'm amazed and creeped out and amused at how very human Chat's conversations with me tend to be, and often even funny. It's unnerving how much Chat feels like a true research assistant and co-worker, to the point that it makes me nervous thinking about how rapidly my kids are becoming chat natives.
