Why are we all assuming he doesn't know how to drive? It's not super hard to maintain after that type of accident as long as you don't do something silly like jerk the wheel or slam on the brakes from shock of the initial impact.
Obviously Glad the guy is safe though. It shows how far these self driving cars have come in the past decade.
