bottom line is it is coming. the learning curve to being able to create Art has just been flattened. in a year any jackass with a cell phone will be able to create art. and yes it's art... soon you will have artisan artists and AI Artists. and the thing that artist need to prepare for is that... no one really cares what you think... people want to consume... and they want what they want... to your face they might shake their head and talk about how terrible it is... but when they get home and start looking for an image to put on the wall most will not care how it was made. I think there is a contradiction in saying... its not art because what a machine makes is not creative, and they are not artists because the software just created something on its own... see the problem. something was created and in order to create you must have something creative. i get it. i took many art classes in college. i have spent 50 hours on a piece before... and now a computer can do it in 2 minutes. thats tough. but thats progress and sure you can talk about it and complain. but do not complain to long because everyone else is moving on and adopting it. what you dont want is a company like Disney saying "it will destroy the industry" and start lobbying for restrictive laws that only allow them access. or buying the rights to the engine so they can limit who can use it. if the art community is not careful they might lose their jobs and still be denied access to this technology because of corporate greed. and money in politics.
