The first time I used chatgpt, my concern wasn't that it would replace great artists, but that it would replace all the apprentice and journeyman level artists before they can become the next generation of great artists. I don't think it's impossible for AI to write a masterpiece, but I do think an LLM alone won't ever be capable of it.
